New Job, New Life, New Experience!!!!! =))

My internship at Pub Xtreme Ltd was over on the 26 August 2011 and I submitted my report two weeks ago, on 14th October 2011.. Last Tuesday I had an interview at Rogers Aviation, and they were looking for a sales representative for a part-time job, but I was looking for a full-time job. Then last Friday I had an interview at Connections Tourism Management Ltd and they are seeking a reservation agent on a full time basis. Unfortunately the jobs i'm looking for in the tourism industry there is no demand.. So I accepted the job at connections and started this Monday. For my first real job, it is not what I was expecting, but I will gain some experience and some money and also I will be able to expand my list of contacts in the tourism industry. It will not be a waste of time and energy.

Today is Public Holiday, So I wanted to share this news and also to wish a HAPPY DIVALI to all my hindu friends in Mauritius and all around the WORLD =))

Celebrating Divali is synonymous of siding with light instead of darkness, of the power of knowledge against ignorance, and of opting for good over evil. Divali or Deepavali, comes from two Hindi words: “deepa” which means light, and “avali” which means row. The words clearly depict the wonderful scene before our very eyes. All these lights are supposed to guide the Goddess Luckshmi who brings wealth, good luck and wisdom on earth.

Blue Flower Nail Art

Hey guys!!!

I just did another nail art and again it's a flower (but not the same as the previous one I did). Next time I would be using my Konad Stamping Nail Art, but as today I had some free time, I prefer to do my nail art 'manually'.

Here is the Blue Flower Nail Art I just did:

The pictures show you the steps I made:

Step 1: Do a French Manicure
Step 2: In the upper left corner of your nail (as seen in the pictures) draw 3 blue dots for the petals of the flower and in the middle 1 gold/yellow dot for the pollen.
Step 3: With a black nail polish, draw the outline of 3 petals over the blue dots.
Step 4: Apply your finish coat and you're done!!

Today's Nail Art - Mighty Heart

This nail art is again another one of my old creations. Simple and easy to make. And again honor to red hearts :)

Here are the steps I followed:

Step 1 - Do a diagonal white french manicure
Step 2 - Do a red heart where the french is the lowest. (for the heart just do a V shape)
Step 3 - Do a small black strike on the red heart (just like you see in balloons pictures)
Step 4 - Then do a little black design where the french manicure is the highest (in my case i've done like a trump with 3 small dots on its top)

When u make a decision always take into the consideration of what your heart is telling you and not only your head.

My looks @ work

Où je travaille en ce moment il n'y a pas de réelle ''dresscode''. C’est plutôt le ''casual style'' au bureau. Having a business casual dress code, is to allow our employees to work comfortably in the workplace. Même en adoptant un ''casual style'' au bureau, les employées doivent avoir une image professionnelle et donc les minis ou les vêtements qui nous montrent comme étant vulgaire n’est pas autorisés.

Here are 3 professional casual look that I had worn this week. Tell me what you think..

Look 1:

Ce look j'ai un long top rose orangée sur un pantalon noir. Et vu qu'il faisait froid j'ai opté de mettre mon long top longue manche noire et y ajouté une touche avec une ceinture.. J'hésité entre le noire et le rouge puis finalmant j'ai préfèré le rouge.

Look 2:

Pour ce look, j'ai mis un top blanc et noire large que je met d'habitude sur un leggings noir et que j'ajuste avec une ceinture noir. Et vu qu'en ce moment comme je le disais à maurice il fait froid, j'ai mis mon long top longue manche noire

Look 3:

Pour ce dernier look, j'ai mis un top noire sur un jean et un mateau manche courte grise. Et j'ai ajouter des gants noir bleuté et un chapeau bleu et noir.

Dressing appropriately for your workplace can be a tricky endeavor. Just dress to feel like yourself.

"Professional" doesn't mean "dowdy," it doesn't mean "feminine," it doesn't mean "expensive."

PR Internship!!!!

Last year, during my big holidays I got 2 months internship in a 5star hotel - Maritim Hotel. It was a great experience. I was a guest services trainee and I rapidly learned the job. I really liked it, specially dealing with the guests =)



This year my final module before I graduate requires an internship in the PR field. On Thursday 14 July, I got my internship and started to work. This time my internship is in a Publicity agency called Pub Xtreme / Xtreme Pub / Xtreme Advertising. I already worked 7 days there and I really like it. People there are very welcoming and kind. Even though for now I don't get a lot of work to do, I know that as time goes by and that I have acquire enough knowledge about the work over there, the workload will be more and more.



I may be a university student with not so many job experiences but I am willing to learn more and more and to show what I am capable of!!! So wish me luck!!! And hopefully my internship will go well and that I will pass my module to be finally a GRADUATE =DD

Today's Nail Art - Diagonal Red

This week was quite a busy week for me.. Sine thursday 14July I started my internship for my last module before graduating.. been kind of busy with work, learning the job and dealing with new responsibilities.. Finally the weekend is here and I take some time to create a very simple nailart.

This nail art is one of the 1st one I made. It is very simple and it really don't need any explanation as when you see the picture you will already know how I did it. Anyways here are my steps :)

Step 1 - Do a diagonal red manicure which takes half of your nail.
Step 2 - Outline the middle with a black line.
Step 3 - Then do 3 horizontal lines on the red manicures and overlap them with 2 vertical lines

And that's it :) Easy & Simple <3

Red is my Obsession!!

That's why most of my nail arts there need to be a red touch :)

Today's Nail Art - Peachy Black and White

Don't ask me why I named my nail art peachy black and white lol

It was difficult to name it and I combined the 3 color I used to make this nail art i guess. This nail art is also an old one :)

So here are the steps to follow:

Step 1 - First I've applied a peach color on my nails for my background.
Step 2 - Then I've done again a diagonal french manicure.
Step 3 - Then at the end where the french manicure is bigger I've done three black small dots.
Step 4 - And at the other end I've done 4-5 balck strikes. It looks like a bush/flower lol

That's it, again simple and easy to do :)

Today's Nail Art - Zebra Heart

This nail art is one I did long ago. Today I decided to redo it as I wanted to express some love lol

Here are the steps I made:

Step 1 - Do a diagonal french manicure

Step 2 - Then do a small red heart at the low end of the diagonal french manicure. To do the heart take your nail art brush and do a V with it. It will have the form of a heart =)

Step 3 - Then do some black strikes on the white background of the french manicure, it will look like zebra strikes.

And thats it. Simple and easy to do as always :)

Love is present everywhere. Just open your eyes to see it <3

Artist mode

Here is my look for today! My sister told me that I looked like an artist (more like an art painter) =)

Im wearing a pair of blue jeans, a white long sleeve tshirt on which I put a black tshirt, a black & blue hat and a pair of black ballerina. As accessories I wore a dolphin necklace, a pair of blue earing and my 2 favorite rings :)



My make up - the inner corner of my eyes is a light blue and it darkens to a black when i move to the outer corner of my eyes. then I did a cat eye with my black eyeliner. I also have applied mascara.



And that's it. SMILE =D

Today's Nail Art - Red Stargazer Lily

Today's nail art is a red stargazer lily drawn on an diagonal french manicure!!

The materials used(see the picture below) are:

-black nail art polish

-cover coat nail polish

-red nail are polish

-peach nail polish

-white nail art polish

-toothpicks

-pins

-tissues

-rinestones

Here are the steps(see picture above) for my today's nail art.

Step1 - Do a diagonal french manicure

Step2 - Do the red petals of the flower (and here I tried to do the red stargazer lily)

Step3 - Then I put a dot(using the head of the pin to do the dots) on each petal near the center of the flower.

Step4 - Then with a toothpick I dran a line from the end of each petals to the middle of the flower. It will give the nail art like a 3D effect.

Step5 - Then with my black nail are polish i draw to curved lines on the 2 petals which are on the line of the french manicure.

Step6 - Then with I draw 3 and 4 dots(using again the head of the pin) near the other 2 petals.

Step7 - Then you can put a rinestone in the middle of the flower. It will enhance the 3D effect. In the pictures I didn't put a rinestone as I did the nail art for a dinner party I have on saturday and I like to put the rinstone at the last minute =)

FYI I will put a yellow rinestone on my nail art.

The floral celebrity, stargazer lilies are young, bold, beautiful, and dramatic. The meaning of these fragrant flowers can be one of wealth and prosperity, but their white variety can dress down to genuinely express purity and sympathy.

Movie Night Out

This is my look of this night, went out to watch some movies at a friend's place. We watched Rio which was super funny and the music was really good. Ireally appreciated watching this movie. We also watched Sucker Punch, but i found the movie really hard to understand. What I liked was the action part though.



So back to my look, I wore a long sleeve tshirt with a black belt (yeah again my eternal black belt) on a black leggings. Also I accesorise my look with a long monkey necklace, pink flower earings and my two favorite rings, one in the shape of an 'S' and the other one has a black diamond on it. I also wear my 'creme' flats.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything, so stand up and voice out your opinion, your taste, your views!! I may not be the most prettiest, sexiest and stylish girl in the world, but I share out what I think, what I see and what I like!! I may not be perfect, but who is perfect anyway, everyone one has his own flaws.

Winter is here!!!!!

Yeah finally we can say winter is here!!! The sun has left the place to the clouds, the rain and the freezing wind...

Here is what I'm wearing today. I'm wearing a purple large shirt with long sleeves with a black belt and all this on black leggings. As my feet are cold, I wore a pair of black flat ballerina shoes. Instead of wearing leggings I could have wore a pair of black tights. Sometimes when it is not that cold, I would wear this look without the leggings/tights as the shirt looks like a dress.

Here is my look without the black belt. You will see why I always like to wear a belt on something that's large on me. It gives it more form and structure, and it is more stylish :P I really do like large shirt but on me, I look fat >.< So I always wear a belt on it :) Wearing it with a belt compared to wear a shirt that is fits you well, doesn't show your imperfections (I mean if you have a small belly, in a large shirt even worn with a belt, your small belly can't be noticed :P )

What I like to say is : I'm my own kind of beautiful :)

I may not be perfect, sexy, or be like a model, but I am beautiful as I feel beautiful!! Everyone is beautiful by nature. You just need to love yourself like you are :)

Today's Nail Art - Floral

Today I wanted a red french manicure. I found it too plain so I decided to add some little flowers on it.

It is very easy to do. First you apply a coat of plain manicure. Then you do a french manicure (in my case I decided to do it red instead of white). Then you do some some flowers. Place it where you want. For my thumb and my little finger I have done 3 flowers, and on my other nails I only did 1 flower in the corner.



I made the flowers with a the head of a pin which you can find in a men's shirt. It is flat and round so good to do some small circles which makes the petals of the flowers =)

Bleue comme la mer =)

Summer is nearly over!!! Welcome pullovers and leggings, welcome gloves and hats!!! But I so don't like when it's cold as I'm all the time sick:(

So one of my facorite 2011 summer outfit was my blue dress which I wear with a black belt :)

Sometimes I wish I could go back to the days when I was six and my biggest problem was what kind of dress to put on Barbie as I need to think about what I will wear each day!! That is why nowadays clothes and everything that goes with it are the big problem of women!!!

Today's Nail Art - Roseus (Pink)

As I said I really love the color RED!!! But today I have done a pink nail art. It is very simple and is inspired by the video 'Red & White French Manicure Flower Nail Art Design Tutorial' by 'Love4Nails' on youtube. I have replaced the RED color by PINK and I have done it in my own style.

So firstly I have done a simple french manicure. Then I have applied a pink nail polish on the corner of my french manicure. Next I have underline the pink nail polish by a fine black nail polish. Then I have underlined my french manicure with some small balck dots. And that's it, that's the design I have made on my nails except on my thumb.



For my thumb, I wanted a small flower as pink in french is rose, and rose is a flower. I started to create the petals with the pink nail polish. I added some white nail polish on the pink nail polish when it was still wet, and I did some little strikes to merge it a bit. Then I painted my middle flower with white nail polish. Then I have outlined my flower with black nail polish. then I created some little curls coming from the flower. Then instead of putting some small dots to outline my french manicure, I put some small dots to outline the pink nail polish I had made on the corner of the french manicure. And that's it. A really simple nail art =)

Remember, Pink is the sweet side of red. Both red and pink denote love but while red is hot passion, pink is romantic and charming.

Recette Coq au Vin

Today i learned how to cook ''Coq au Vin''. (facon popo)

In the chinese tradition, it is good for women who just give birth to eat it.
The ingredients are ginger, chicken(4 cuisses + 4 ailes) and wine(malaka wine).

The way i cooked it today is the way that you give to women who just give birth.
Premierement faut nettoyer les cuissses et les ailes de poulet sans pour autant retirer les os et les couper en gros morceaux. Netoiyer le gingembre et le couper en morceaux tres fin. Prendre une grande casserole et mettre au feu, ajouter de lhuile et frire le gingembre. Puis ajouter le poulet. Bien melanger et ajouter le vin. Puis laisser a feu vif juska ce que sa bouilli et mettre a feu doux pendant 1hr temps. Puis servir chaud.

La deuxieme facon de le cuire c'est quand on le sert en invitant la famille qui viennent voir le bebe pour la premiere fois. C'est presque le meme processus. sauf que au lieu de couper en les cuisses et ailes de poulet en gros morceaux. Faut retirer les os et les couper en morceaux tres fin. Puis prendre une casserole et mettre de lhuile, le gingembre, le vin puis le poulet. le temps de cuisson est le meme.

Here is the traditional way of cooking it. It is also good to for girls who just finish getting their ''magic'' to eat.

This is what popo told me. And anyway it is so good that whenever i want to eat it i can do it myself. It is so simple :D
